Bold in the warmth of coming spring
Bright the glow of new green,
All is proceeding as it should
Amid the warming scene
Then over night as darkness fell
More winter fell again
It wrapped the world in ice and snow
Instead of soft spring rain
The soft stroll into summer time
Disrupted by the snow
A time of testing has begun
Will blossoms fail or grow
Does faith that summer still will come
Outweigh the icy day
Or will the winter’s cold destroy
The new life on its way
And as the buds, trapped in the snow,
Face this new test of will;
So I am challenged in my faith
Will I survive the chill?
