Stillness creeps in through my window
And nestles at my side;
Softly washing all around me,
It lifts me like a tide
And I am drawn into its comfort,
Where, for tonight, I'll bide.
Let the worries of tomorrow
Wait for the morning's light,
For right now I'll take the stillness
That's born of deepest night.
I'll wrap myself in its silence
And savor the delight.
