Are You Watching Me?

You are so coy, you hide your face,
You think that I can't see
That when I turn my glance away
You turn your gaze on me.
But I can see you hiding there,
Peeking out from the night,
And I will keep my eye on you
Until the sun's first light!

The Plums That Never Were

If they eat the buds before they bloom so that the plums will never form, does it count as eating my plums?

The Nomads of Ice

Silent as the mists of winter,
Are the icy stars of night,
Burning in the still of heaven
With a chill and piercing light.
Sweeping through the deep black chasm
In their cold, nomadic flight,
They return to secret havens
With the first heat of daylight.

Whispers and Promises

Whisper to me in my dreams and
Promise you’re still coming,
For I have longed to see your face,
Hear your gentle humming,
Feel your breath brush across my skin,
Taste your kiss on my tongue.
But all I have are dreams each night
Of songs, as yet unsung.

So whisper to me in my dreams
And say it won’t be long,
Then I shall wait through each long night
To hear my lover’s song.

Lights, Water and Night Stillness

Stillness creeps in through my window
And nestles at my side;
Softly washing all around me,
It lifts me like a tide
And I am drawn into its comfort,
Where, for tonight, I'll bide.

Let the worries of tomorrow
Wait for the morning's light,
For right now I'll take the stillness
That's born of deepest night.
I'll wrap myself in its silence
And savor the delight.

Heading Out to Sea

I’m heading out to see the world,
Don’t wait on shore for me.
The shallows now lie in my wake,
I’m heading out to sea.
A world of vast adventure waits,
That’s where I long to be.
So, don’t sit waiting on the shore,
The world’s out there to see!!

The Night, The Moon and Me

The cold, black stillness of the night
Crept in my heart to stay,
The countless stars pricked at my mind,
The moon stalked me like prey.
Then, as I felt night’s icy gaze
Steal my hushed breath away,
I longed to toss my head backward,
Lift up my voice and bay.
