Between Safe and The Dream

There is no dream too big for her,
Though she still clings in fear
To that which she has known as safe
For many a long year.

Yet still, she’s starting to reach out
To all she longs to see
And someday she’ll let go and leap,
Reaching for what may be!

Last Ones Standing

Last ones standing at the end of the world
Around their feet the darkness lies curled
The mists of eternity, grey and whorled,
Slowly devour the last of the world

Lost Dreams

She had such dreams when she was young,
The things she planned to do,
But now those dreams are fading fast.
Her life is nearly through.

There, cast aside, forgotten, lost,
She weeps for what was not.
There’s nothing she can cling to now,
But dreams that she forgot.
