Hidden Tears
Clandestinely, she hid her tears
Where they would not be foundThe next time that the loneliness
Came sniveling around.
She tucked them in the garden beds.
She tossed them in the sea.
She stuffed them in the mossy nest
Out in the old fig tree.
She put them places that she knew
She never would recall,
For if she found them once again
She knew she’d cry them all.
You see, she had no time for tears
With all she had to face,
And so she hid them all away,
Each in a secret place.

Drowning in the Shadows
Sometimes shadows cling to my heart
The whole world weighs upon my mind
Until I fear I’ll drown,
But, as I feel the undertow
Drag me into the night,
I look up and I see your face...
And I reach for your light.

Love You, Sweet Pea
Oh little sweet pea, I love you,
You fill my beds with joyful blooms,
Fragrant and unfurled.

I've Got My Eyes On You
Tears of Loss and Joy
Surrounded by much younger blooms,
She wept for her lost youth. The petals dropping from her eyes
Proof of the bitter truth.
Though, as each petal slipped away
And she watched lost dreams die,Still many more dreams would live on
In the young blooms near by.
Thus she was not ashamed to weep
Her tears of loss and joy,And ever was her face upturned,
Her last days to enjoy.
