Patricia Dillon

April 10, 1959 - April 21, 2009

Wife, Mother, Teacher and Friend
Joyful, loving and strong. More willing to give of herself than to take for herself. She will be more than missed, she leaves a gaping hole in the center of our world.

The sun went dark the day I heard
That you had left this earth
Too soon you left your heart's true love
And those whom you gave birth

You fought the darkness. Darkness won;
Now all the world’s gone dim,
And what was once a place of joy
Is bitter now and grim

Yet in the tears that pool around
The fragments of my heart
I see reflections of your smile
And feel the healing start

I see your face in those you left
To carry on your dreams
For much of you still lives in them,
The best of you, it seems.

And they will grow to be like you,
To do what you’d have done,
Perhaps the darkness didn’t win
For your love carries on.
